Marubeni Indonesia Celebrates 79th Indonesian Independence Day with Exciting Competitions

26 August 2024

As Indonesia prepares to commemorate its 79th Independence Day on August 17, Marubeni Indonesia is taking the celebration a step further by organizing a series of exciting competitions. From August 12 to 24, employees will participate in various events designed to foster togetherness and strengthen bonds between team members.

The Independence Day celebration organized by the Marubeni Indonesia Workers Union features a diverse range of activities catering to various interests and skills. Participants can showcase their gaming prowess in an E-Sport tournament, test their knowledge in a Group Quiz competition, and enjoy the fun of classic board games like Snakes and Ladders. For those with a competitive spirit, Table Tennis matches will provide an opportunity to demonstrate their athletic abilities.

As a tribute to Indonesia's rich cultural heritage, the Workers Union has also included Traditional Games in the list of events, allowing employees to connect with their cultural roots while having fun. Additionally, a Bowling tournament complement this exciting event schedule.

The main objective of these competitions is to strengthen the sense of unity and togetherness among Marubeni Indonesia's workforce. By engaging in friendly competition and shared experiences, employees can reinforce their relationships beyond daily work routines.

Notably, this celebration is not limited to Marubeni Indonesia alone. PT Matlamat Cakera Canggih (MCC), a subsidiary of Marubeni Corporation, is also joining in the celebration. This involvement further emphasizes the spirit of unity that the Independence Day celebration aims to promote across the broader Marubeni family.

As Indonesia commemorates 79 years of independence, this initiative by the Marubeni Indonesia Workers Union serves as a reminder of the importance of community and collaboration in the workplace. Through these engaging activities, employees not only honor their nation's history but also build stronger relationships with their colleagues, fostering a more cohesive and productive work environment.
